Victorian Walnut Tunbridge Ware Inlaid Tea Caddy

A mid Victorian figured walnut two compartment tea caddy with Tunbridge ware inlaid panels to the exterior c.1870. Choice cut figured walnut veneered exterior with boxwood strung edge to the hinged lid, floral design Tunbridge ware panel to the centre. Matching Tunbridge panel forming the lock escutcheon. The lid opening to reveal an original fitted interior with two moulded edge lids covering the tea compartments, each with turned ebony knobs. Original foiled lined interiors to each compartment. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Keep up to date via Instagram - sturmansantiques. Measures 8" wide x 4.5" deep x 4.75" high.
