Description

This is a very satisfying example of the classic Welsh stick chair in native ash and oak, with a bold crest rail above a stick back with a two-piece armrest with four turned supports, over a thick chamfered seat raised on four outward-splayed legs with turned bases and united by an H-stretcher, the central one turned (and very worn!).

This is a good collector's example, with several layers of historical paint which are largely worn through on the seat, back and armrest, giving the much sought-after effect of an accumulated surface finish.
