Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

An Ansonia 8-day mantel clock is an American-made mechanical timepiece produced by the Ansonia Clock Company between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, designed to run for eight days per winding.

Victorian mantel clocks typically feature solid or veneered hardwood cases, such as oak, mahogany, or walnut, housing brass clockwork movements and glass-fronted dials with brass or gilded bezels.

Authentic Ansonia clocks often feature trademark stamps on the movement or dial, characteristic carved oak cases, and brass key-wound mechanisms manufactured in Connecticut or New York.

Place the clock centrally on a fireplace mantelpiece, console table, or library shelf, pairing it with minimalist ceramics or framed artwork to balance the intricate woodwork.

Keep the clock in a temperature-controlled environment away from moisture, dust the wood case with a soft lint-free cloth, and have the mechanical movement serviced and oiled by a professional horologist every three to five years.
