Arthur George Walker(20 October 1861 – 13 September 1939) was an English sculptor and painter. Among his best-known works are several war memorials and the statue of Florence Nightingale in Waterloo Place, London. Walker also drew illustrations and engravings. Please see photographs for an image of Walker in his London studio.

Likely a preparatory sketch for an illustration or engraving, this sketch of a tree is extremely well formed and drawn with remarkable confidence.

Later glazed frame. The whole remains in a very good condition and striking when displayed.
