George V Silver Prayer Book Carrier and Book

A fine quality George V period heavy solid silver prayer book carrier and original leather bound book, hallmarked Birmingham 1935. The heavy quality solid silver carrier with solid base and rounded sides to hold the spine of the book in place. Fretted cross forming a decorative panel, repeated to both sides. Swing carry handle sat over the top with slight angle in the lower half of handle to aid level carrying. The original leather bound book of prayer, psalms and hymns in excellent condition, a shadow of a cross formed in the leather showing the original book to case. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths Edward Albert Jones. Presented in superb unused condition with a deep polish to the silver. Keep up to date via Instagram - sturmansantiques. Measures 5" high excluding the handle or 6.5" high with handle up x 3.5" wide x 1.25" deep.

EUROPE AND WORLDWIDE

Through our trusted international shippers we will source the most competitive quote for delivery to your door. All items are wrapped and packed by the specialist shippers.
