Description

A Mahogany and Inlaid Tray.

The late 19th century mahogany oval tray, with a rounded edge, and raised sides, surrounding crisply inlaid boxwood and walnut in the form of scrolling classical leaves and foliage, running to fruit filled cornucopia.

This banding within line stringing, and surrounding the inlaid centre.

The central inlay of an oval floral panel,, within a satinwood radiating fan.

Either end of the tray mounted with scrolled and swept brass handles.

The Tray fitting/resting on a later tapered and slightly outswept cross stretched stand, to make a useful side or occasional table.

Height 21 1/4 inches, 54cm.

Width 27 1/2 inches, 70cm.

Depth 18 inches, 45.5cm.
