Fish scale design brass sound frets to the sides with moulded trim, sat above a plinth base with adjustable brass bun feet below. Convex painted dial with Roman numerals and the makers name with original hand cut blued steel hands; a cast brass bezel forming the door with matching convex glass. The double fusee movement with wire drive lines and original anchor escapement, which strikes on a bell to the hour with a repeating mechanism. Thomas Farr was one of three in his family recorded as making clocks in Bristol between 1790 and 1830.
