Bedsteads has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Quality simple decorations in the decorative castings and iron work. With lovely details of brass rail, loops, and saddles to secure the head board in position. The whole bed can be dismantled for ease of transport and access to the room and then easily reassembled in the room. The joints for the side rails have been checked for good fit and lengthened, strengthened and adapted to support wood slats. The frame has been shot blasted and primed prior to hand finish in Little green sage and livid and then waxed to preserve.
