Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Edwardian marquetry corner cabinets, dating from around 1900 to 1910, often blend Neo-classical revival elements with light, elegant proportions. They frequently feature mahogany wood accented with intricate satinwood, boxwood, or rosewood inlays depicting urns, swags, and scrollwork.

These cabinets were predominantly crafted from solid mahogany and mahogany veneers, using contrasting exotic timber inlays such as satinwood for decorative panel detailing. Glazed upper sections featured hand-fitted glass panes separated by delicate timber glazing bars.

Authentic pieces exhibit precise hand-cut joinery, thin timber veneers over solid wood framing, and finely detailed marquetry rather than modern printed transfers. The glass panes are often slightly irregular, and the hardware typically consists of original cast brass fittings.

A tall corner cabinet maximises unused architectural angles while offering vertical display storage. Styling the glass shelves with monochrome ceramics, contemporary glassware, or bound volumes creates a balanced contrast against warm mahogany tones.

Clean timber surfaces using a soft, dry lint-free cloth, and apply a high-quality natural beeswax polish sparingly once or twice a year. Keep the cabinet away from direct heat sources and sunlight to prevent the timber from drying, warping, or fading.
