Three turned legs to the tripod, removable for transit; the column of the stand either separating or collapsing. Charles Wheeldon & Sons were bobbin and skewer turners based in Stockport, Cheshire and designed the music stand in c.1880. It was exhibited at the Chicago exhibition in 1893 and is in the National Trust collection - website: https://www.nationaltrustcollections.org.uk/object/582966. Measures overall 41" high rising to 61" high x 18" span at the foot. Music rest measures 16" wide x 12" high.
