Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Moghan Kazak rugs originate from the Caucasus region and are characterised by bold geometric patterns, distinctive hooked medallions, and saturated natural dyes. Produced by nomadic weavers during the late 19th century, these textiles are recognised for their coarse hand-knotted wool construction and tribal aesthetic.

Traditional Kazak rugs were hand-knotted using locally sourced, hand-spun sheeps wool for both the pile and the foundation. The wool was dyed using natural plant-based and mineral dyes, resulting in durable, rich tones.

Authentic antique Caucasian rugs feature pure wool foundations, flexible hand-knotted undersides with minor weave irregularities, and bold geometric motifs. Natural dye variations, known as abrash, are also key indicators of 19th-century origin.

An antique Caucasian rug introduces texture and geometric structure to contemporary spaces. Placing the textile over exposed timber floorboards in a living area or study balances modern minimalism with historical surface texture.

Vacuum regularly using a suction-only setting without a rotating brush to prevent pile damage. Rotate the rug periodically to ensure even wear, and arrange for professional cleaning using gentle, low-pH solutions.
