A rather impressive and large Distressed Antique Victorian Period Ebonised Mirror surviving from around c1880.
Having it''s original Mercury backed Mirror Plate which has achieved the most wonderful distressed foxing to the glass throughout , the mirror is still perfectly useable to use but has that added history and style that is most desirable.
The Mahogany carved frame being Giltwood and then Ebonised , again the frame is also distressed with flashes of gilding shining through the chippy Ebony.
The mirrors backboards are almost as spectacular as the plate itself!
A really beautiful item with it''s original plate glass with a greyish colour , a good sign of originality.
The item is offered in good antique condition with wear as expected with furniture of this age.
A real statement piece.
