Danish sterling silver bangle with cabochon polished black onyx detail. By Kurt Nielsen. 1960s.
The linage of the Nielsen business dates back to 1942. The company later expanded and became an international conglomerate, receiving the Frederik IX honorary award for meritorious effort in export. Kurt Nielsen trained at Georg Jensen in the early 1950s before becoming the artistic director of KNDK.
This stylish open bangle is 1.6cm wide. Diameter 6.5cm with the opening 3cm - slightly adjustable. Weight 46.9g. Superb quality and excellent condition.
