French Walnut Dough Prooving Box (Coffer)

Description

A French walnut petrin, or dough proving table circa mid 1800s, from Burgundy.

Nicely made with a moulded edge to the top, and chunky dovetail construction on the corners.

Now lowered to make a great coffee table, sofa table or general storage piece.
