Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated these 18th Century Delft Tobacco Jars to the 18th Century.
The covers fitting within the rounded and concave necks of the jars, over rounded shoulders, the bodies tapering to a flat foot. The jars with pairs of good handles, in the form of barking dogs. The jars with ribbon gathered leaf reserves, titled 'TABAC ST OMER' and 'TABAC DE Ire QUALITE' respectively.
Date circa 1770.
