Each with an outward rolled rim, over the rounded circular bodies, tapering to a flat foot , and slightly inverse domed underside.

The Jars decorated with a profusion of flowers and scrolling foliage, enclosing the titles, "Varinas" and "St Omer"

The undersides with makers mark.

Delft tobacco jars are tin-glazed earthenware vessels produced primarily in the Netherlands during the 18th century to store imported tobacco leaves. They feature hand-painted cobalt blue decoration and were typically inscribed with trade names or origins such as St. Omer or Varinas.

Delftware was crafted from local earthenware clay coated with an opaque white tin glaze to imitate Chinese porcelain. Foliate patterns and text were hand-painted directly onto the unfired glaze using cobalt blue oxide prior to a single high-temperature kiln firing.

Authentic pieces generally exhibit yellowish earthenware clay beneath small glaze losses, visible brushwork in the cobalt pigment, and soft wear around the rim and foot rim. Genuine examples often display fine glaze crazing and occasional makers marks painted on the base.
