A superb quality Victorian walnut marquetry chest of drawers with engraved brass fittings in George I style c.1870. The quarter veneered walnut top with extensive decorative marquetry work in rosewood, boxwood and fruitwood. Two over three drawer formation to the front with marquetry work inlays book matched to each side to match the top. Figured walnut sides with marquetry inlaid panels to each. Sat on a moulded plinth with bracket feet below. Engraved backplate brass fittings, superb colour and polish; presented in excellent condition. Measures 36.5" wide x 20" deep x 38.25" high.
