Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco ruby jewellery from the 1920s is characterized by bold geometric shapes, high-contrast gemstone pairings, and fine metalwork using platinum or white gold. Rings from this era frequently featured vibrant central gemstones, such as Burmese rubies, framed by brilliant or old-cut diamond halos.

Art Deco cluster rings were predominantly crafted in platinum or 18ct white gold to achieve a crisp, white finish. Settings typically feature precious gemstones such as rubies, sapphires, or emeralds surrounded by old European cut or single cut diamonds, often enhanced with milgrain borders.

Authentic 1920s rings usually exhibit hand-cut gemstones, old-cut accent diamonds, and intricate hand-finished detailing such as pierced undergalleries and milgrain edges. Hallmarks, makers marks, and period-specific metal alloys like unplated platinum also help confirm age and authenticity.

An antique ruby cluster ring serves as a focal statement piece suitable for both formal evening wear and contemporary tailored daywear. Its classic cluster structure complements minimal modern jewellery, allowing the deep red gemstone to remain the primary accent.

Clean the ring gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush to remove dust from behind the settings. Avoid harsh chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners, or extreme temperature shifts, and have the claw settings inspected regularly by a professional jeweller.
