He remained attached to this discipline throughout his life, which he put into practice both in the exercise of his profession as a decorator and as a painter. The man participated in the artistic life of Boulogne-sur-mer from 1901 by contributing to the founding of the Society of Fine Arts and Industrial Arts. Griois also participates in the intellectual and associative life of Boulogne-sur-Mer.
He exhibited in Paris, Lorient, Roubaix and became a member of the Salon des Indépendants from 1924 until 1944.
Griois draws and painted numerous paintings showing the harsh life of fishermen. To experience his art, he immersed himself in this part of Boulogne-sur-mer; he describes the streets of the sailors' quarter, the scenes of sea festivals, the portraits of these fishermen weathered by the salt and the cold, the herring boats on departure and arrival. It restores the activity of fishing with the modern vision of its time, located in the confrontation of sail and steam.
Georges Griois is buried in the Eastern Cemetery (Boulogne-sur-Mer).
