The engraved silvered dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial to the top half of the dial and original steel hands; bears the makers name J Walker, makers to the Admiralty, London. The 8 day movement accessed from the rear behind a solid hinged door; the single fusee movement with original cylinder escapement, the makers name to the backplate to match the dial. John Walker is recorded as making clocks in Red Lion St, Clerkenwell, London from the early 19th century and is recorded as making clocks for the Admiralty.
