Thomas Mackay 1851-1920.Liverpool artist painting mainly in Warwickshire,Cheshire and North Wales who developed a charming and distinctly English style of impressionistic watercolour.Exhibited at. the R.A. and the Walker Art Gallery,Liverpool .One of my favourite Victorian watercolour artists. ‘ The Mill Meadow,Sefton,Merseyside’ signed watercolour,dated 1905; image size 27x17 cms,framed size 51x40 cms.Provenance :with the Bourne Gallery,Reigate,Surrey.Purchased at the World of Watercolours 1987.This is a particularly fine example of the artists work.
