Antique and Unique has dated this Antique Oak Side Table to the 1700s.

The turning on the base of this table is just lovely and gives it real character. It is in good condition and has obviously been well loved and used over the last 320 years or so. The drawer handles are not original but are certainly not a recent alteration. It appears that there was once a secret lock fitted in the rail below the drawer as there is a hole cut through, and a space in the bottom edge of the drawer where the latch would have located.

Condition: Overall this is in good condition with some age related wear, as you would expect. There is some damage to the rail below the drawer where the hidden lock was once located. The top appears to have had some repairs at some point as there are screws through the glueblocks underneath. The top has various marks. There is some wear/loss to the back edge of the top. There are a few areas of damage/loss to the legs and feet, and a few woodworm holes in the feet - this is not active, but we have treated it as a precaution. The table is in good solid structural condition.
