We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Regency drop leaf table typically dates from the early 19th century, characterised by classical proportions, fine flame mahogany veneers, turned or reeded legs, and hinged side leaves supported by fly brackets.

These tables were primarily crafted from solid mahogany and mahogany veneers, often incorporating brass castors, brass knob handles, and delicate boxwood stringing or ebony inlay.

Authentic pieces feature period-correct joinery such as hand-cut dovetails inside drawers, original brass wheel castors, historical wear to turned legs, and natural wood oxidisation beneath the surfaces.

A Regency drop leaf table functions well as an end table beside a sofa, a compact bedside stand, or an accent piece in a hallway, offering flexible surface area when leaves are extended.

Maintain mahogany by dusting regularly with a soft dry cloth and applying a high-quality beeswax polish once or twice a year, keeping it away from direct sunlight and heat sources to protect the finish.
