A rare extremely beautiful large English solid sterling silver chalice. It is hallmarked for London 1959 with the maker being Hurst, Franklin & Co Ltd. It is also marked AM WD possibly Air Ministry / War Dept. It has been superbly designed being hand planished and is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It is large measuring approx. 7.75 inches (19.8cm) tall by almost 4 inches (10cm) across the rim by 5.5 inches (14cm) across the base and weighs 404 grams. A very good quality impressive piece.
