Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A Victorian posy vase is a small decorative glass vessel created during the 19th century to display compact flower arrangements or single cut stems on tables and mantels.

These vases were crafted using hand-blowing techniques, often incorporates spatter or end-of-day glass effects, crimped or ruffled rims formed while hot, and applied clear glass bases.

Authentic pieces generally display pontil marks or smoothed base facets, slight irregularities inherent to hand-blown production, and characteristic period decorative techniques like threading or crimping.

Small glass vases can be grouped on a window sill to catch natural light, positioned on a mantelpiece alongside modern ceramic accents, or placed on a bedside table with delicate seasonal blooms.

Clean antique glass gently using lukewarm water and mild dish liquid, avoiding abrasive pads or sudden temperature shifts that could cause thermal shock and cracking.
