Past to Present has dated this French Marble Top Commode to the 19th Century.
It is in the Louis Phillipe revival style and the carcass is constructed in the finest plum pudding mahogany with a shaped volcanic grey marble slap top sitting on elegant bracket feet

The drawers are lined in elm with brass locks and decorative brass escutcheons
The top four drawers are opened with a key, the bottom drawer is concealed and forms part of the skirt and is opened from the base

Measures 38 inches high 52 inches wide and 27 inches deep
A really outstanding piece that would make a real statement in a period or contemporary setting
