Shaped hinged carry handle to the top, repeater button to the surface and hinged door to the rear. The 8 day movement with original platform escapement, bell striking on the hour and half hour; separate alarm mechanism striking on the same bell. Sat behind a perfect white porcelain dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary dial below for setting the alarm; original blued steel hands. Bears the makers stamp along with serial number for Japy Freres, Paris to the back plate. Sat in the original leather cloth carry case with carry handle to the top and presentation plate to Mr & Mrs Parry 1867. Measures 6.75" high with handle up and 5.5" high excluding handle x 4.5" wide x 3.5" deep. Case measures 7" high x 6" wide x 5" deep.
