Superb Silver and Enamel Box

A superb quality engine turned silver table box with outstanding enamelled scene to the lid, London import marks for 1908. The slightly domed lid with a broad copper brown enamel boarder and superbly detailed enamelled classical C18th style scene to the centre panel. The sides of the box with polished silver engine turned finish. The hinged lid opening to reveal a clean mahogany lined interior originally for cheroots. Bears German silver marks along with 925 sterling mark and London import mark for 1916. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine and no damage. Measures 3.5" wide x 3.25" deep x 1" high.
