Bronze French Empire Lion Paw Candlesticks

Description

A pair of late 19th/early 20th century bronze French Empire candlesticks, each with a half-fluted and anthemion cast cylindrical sconce over a bobèche and reeded column, all raised upon an anthemion and scroll cast triform base with lion paw feet.

The candlesticks are of fine proportion and form, boasting crisp detail and stunning patination to the bronze. One candlestick has a slight tilt to the bobèche.

A handsome set.
