Rounded base section with hinged access door, further door to the side. Convex painted dial with Roman numerals sat behind a matching convex glass set in a polished cast brass bezel. The fine quality 8 day single fusee movement with anchor escapement and shaped plates. Henry Harris is recorded as making clocks in Maidenhall, Suffolk between 1839 and 1846 (source British Horological Institute). Presented in excellent original condition with a rich polish, fully serviced and working. Measures 16" maximum width x 24" high x 5.5" deep, with a 12" dial diameter.
