Gatsby Jewellery Ltd has dated this Sapphire Diamond Cluster Ring to the 1940s.
The stone is secured in platinum and surrounded by fourteen old mine cut diamonds in individual scalloped settings. Decorative scroll detailing in the gallery leads to a slender platinum shank.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire with old mine cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are G to H.
Clarity – The sapphire is loupe clean. The diamonds are SI1 to I1.
Carat – The sapphire is a known 4.93 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.12 carat.
Circa – 1940.

Size – L 1/2 (UK) or 5 7/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 8.6 x 10.2mm. The head of the ring is 17.3 x 14.9mm and sits 7.4mm from the finger.
Metal – Platinum. Tested.
