Mid Victorian Dutch Silver Peppermint Box

A fine quality Dutch silver peppermint box with decorative engraving to all sides c.1860. Oblong form with slightly bowed sides and hinged caddy style lid, superb quality engraving, different to each panel. The hinged lid opening to reveal a clean interior, bears the makers mark for W.de Pleyt, Schoonhoven and Dutch silver 833 quality mark. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 1.5" wide x 1.25" deep x 1.75" high.
