Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1900s.
With a rounded lid, opening on a hinge and screw bayonet catch, over the rounded shoulders. The body slightly curved to fit snugly in ones pocket. The lower body with a conforming slide off cup, finished with a rounded rim, and raised oval foot. Both the body and cup with circular discs.
Hallmarked for Marples and Beasley, Birmingham 1900.
