This impressive Edwardian paneled mahogany roll-topped desk has been sensitively restored to a good standard, leaving its underlying warm tones intact - it's slightly faded but in that very apealing manner. Desks with oodles of character, such as this example, are vehicles of creativity. With a large working area and a spacious top shelf, you can plan and create to your heart's content. Once you have finished, close the roll top and everything, thanks to a clever locking system, including the contents of the drawers, is secured away until your next visit. Just use one of the two keys supplied to unlock the roll-top, push it right back, and away you go again. It is as simple as that. A large number of the original drawer partitions are included, so you can divide the drawer interiors as you see fit. As you can see there are two interior drawers, pen trays, and compartments. The desk can be situated against a wall or brought out into the room to show off the paneling to the full. A good example of a much-loved desk. Extra measurements - Width of kneehole 68 cm (the narrowest point between the bottom of each pedestal) Useable workspace 57 cm x 138 cm (interior of desk, from the front edge to the front of the interior drawers).
