French Chiming Carriage Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

French brass cased carriage clock of large proportion. Bevelled crystal glass panels to sides, front, back door and top glass panel above the jewelled platform escapement. The top glass window exposes a gilded decorated plate with an opening to expose the escapement.

Striking on the 1/2 hour with a mellow and soft chime.

An extremely well built and robust clock that runs well and keeps good time. No chips or cracks to the glass panel and the casing is in very good condition. (height measurement includes up-raised handle)
