Andros Antiques has dated this Edwardian Mahogany Occasional Table to the Edwardian era.
The stretcher rails add strength, and meet a small lower shelf to the middle. The side rails are themselves inlaid with a decorative Satinwood banding.

The beautifully figured Mahogany top, with its edge moulding is also inlaid with a Satinwood banding. The dense Mahogany has a lovely deep warm tone, that contrasts so sharply with the Satinwood inlay. Being made of such good quality timber, the table is of a generous weight, aiding stability.

Would work well in either a traditional or contemporary interior décor and can be placed anywhere in a room as it is finished all round.
