A rare heavy Hanoverian Pattern antique solid sterling silver basting spoon. It is hallmarked for Edinburgh 1908 with the makers marks being that of Hamilton & Inches. It has been superbly designed with the terminal being engraved with a Boer''s head and laurel branch crest used by the Peters and Peiter''s Families of Scotland. It is in super condition having no dings splits distortions or repairs. It measures approx. 11 inches (28cm) long by 2.25 inches (5.4cm) wide and weighs an impressive 146 grams. A very high quality rare piece.
