A 19th century portrait depicting a seated young lady in a white gown with a tartan shawl, arm bracelet and gold necklace. The work is beautifully executed, depicting a sitter full of character.

There are signs of historic to restoration at the extremities (the top right and bottom left - please see photographs). The work is housed in a period gilt frame which remains in a very good condition throughout.

A beautiful work.
