Georgian Birdcage Snaptop Table

Description

An incredibly charming Red Walnut table, with original Patina, original catch and top.

This whole thing is 100% original condition.

After a time consuming sympathetic restoration

I think this table is the nicest antique I have ever owned. The wear on the edge of the top shows pieces that where damaged,probably when the table was young and the wood was soft, have taken the passing of time and Coloured through use and wax to a beautiful characterful Patinatation.

The top has dished over time and pulled the bearers with it.

The baluster stem has ovalled and shows a wonderful colour. The top has lightened from 300 years of sunlight and maintains a wonderfull colour.

The legs have maintained their pads, which suggests the table has allways stood on carpet amd has been cherished all its life.
