A L'inconnue De La Seine 19th Century Death Mask By Gebruder Micheli, Berlin

An outstanding antique plaster death mask of L’Inconnue de la Seine (the Mona Lisa of the Seine- a young, drowned, unknown woman pulled from the water in the late 1800s).
 
 
Possibly made by top caster Gebruder Micheli of Berlin, looking at the quality.
 
Slight nibbles to bottom edge of neck and some discolouration. A beautiful piece with hanging loop to the reverse.
