The face with engraved silvered scale and adjustable marker for either marking the last reading or compensating the altitude. The rear with silvered scale for the mercury action crescent thermometer; mother of pearl compass set to the centre with travelling lock. Sat in the original dark red leather covered traveling case with hinged covers to both sides allowing the instrument to be used whilst in the case. Presented in immaculate unused condition with a deep shine, the case in excellent condition. Full working order. Measures excluding case 2" diameter 0.75" deep.
