An exquisite watercolour on paper after Daniel Maclise''s (Irish 1806-1870), ''The Play Scene From Hamlet''. The work is signed J. G. Page and dated 1858.
Every centimetre of this work is filled with detail, with every face and surface delicately depicted.
The work is housed in a later glazed gilt frame with a white mount. The mount has some light spots of age tone but generally the whole remains in a very good condition, ready for display.
