Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

During the late nineteenth century, the Royal Worcester factory introduced blush ivory porcelain, characterized by soft satin glazes, subtle hand enamelling, and classical or Orientalist imagery, including musicians and draped female figures.

These figures were cast in fine bone china or soft-paste porcelain, fired at high temperatures, and finished with delicate liquid glazes, hand-painted polychrome enamels, and accent gilding around details and bases.

Authentic pieces feature the printed Royal Worcester printed factory mark on the base, often accompanied by a system of dots or letters indicating the year of manufacture alongside shape model numbers.

Place the figure inside a glass-fronted cabinet, upon a mantelpiece, or alongside stacked books on a console table to serve as a focused decorative accent within a modern interior.

Dust gently using a soft, clean camel-hair brush, avoiding abrasive materials, harsh chemical cleaners, or prolonged contact with water that could damage gilding and surface glazes.
