Gillers Antiques Ltd has dated this Royal Worcester Mozart Figurine to the Edwardian era.
The modelling is academic and carefully detailed in the hands and drapery. Decorated in softly matt enamels with restrained gilt accents to the base. Factory marks and impressed model number 1487 to the underside.

The model derives from the larger 1890 composition created to mark the centenary of Mozart’s death. This cabinet-size interpretation was produced in limited numbers and is notably less common than the monumental version. The design is attributed to Sir Thomas Brock, later a distinguished British sculptor.
