The slim case with chequered fruitwood and ebony strung edge and round base with turned cistern cover. John Davis & Son worked in Derby from 1830 until 1917 and became highly regarded retailers of instruments and later mining safety equipment. This instrument, fully restored and working. Presented in excellent condition with a deep shine. Measures 36" long x 4.25" maximum width x 2.5" maximum depth.
