The gilded case sat in the original brown leather campaign case with securing strap to the case and adjustable shoulder strap. Bears the makers name J H Steward to the dial, a highly regarded maker of instruments who date back to the 1860's and traded into the 1970's, and who were makers and opticians to Queen Victoria's household. Presented in full working order and in immaculate unused condition. Measures 3" diameter x 1" deep.
