This marvellous ring features a band adorned with the words ''In Memory Of'' beautifully spelt out in Old English lettering. Each letter is meticulously crafted from red enamel within a black enamel border, which creates a striking contrast that adds an air of regal sophistication to the design.
The centrepiece of the ring is the sealed glass panel. Behind its transparent surface lies a timeless memento: a plaited lock of hair, a tangible and personal connection to the departed. The hair, expertly preserved, symbolizes the enduring bond and everlasting presence of those being memorialized.
This ring, circa 1820, is stamped for 18ct gold. It is in good condition with light marks commensurate with age.
