The face with a polished later engraved panel detailing the prize of the tankard to the winner of a game of quoits with 32 players in 1859. Complementing scroll work to handle, which is set to the side. Bears the makers mark for Newcastle silversmith John Langlands along with superb clear hallmarks to the base. No damage or repair, ware or holes, presented in excellent condition with a deep shine. Measures 3" diameter vessel x 5" wide including handle x 5" high.
