Cast brass bezel forming the dial door with quarter plate glass. The original painted 12" dial with Roman numerals and George VI insignia; original blued steel hands. The 8 day single fusee movement with original chain drive and anchor escapement, bears the makers name Elliott, London, serial number and 1935 date of manufacture. Originally used in a post office to inform the public and staff off the time; a superior quality time piece. Presented in excellent original condition, fully serviced and working. Measures 15" diameter x 6" deep x 12" dial diameter.
