WelshAntiques is owned by Richard Bebb, who has been dealing from his Kidwelly premises in west Wales for 50 years. He specialises in Welsh furniture and folk art and is author of the acclaimed two-volume "Welsh Furniture 1250-1950 : A Cultural History of Craftsmanship & Design" [details on]. He is widely acknowledged as the leading authority on his subject and is an Honorary Research Fellow of Amgueddfa Cymru: National Museum Wales, frequently lecturing throughout Wales and beyond.

The fine collection of WelshAntiques is displayed in the historic Castle Mill on the banks of the Gwendraeth river in the middle of Kidwelly, a small coastal town between Llanelli and Carmarthen (20 minutes off Junction 48 of the M4). It is a past double award winner of the prestigious B.A.C.A (British Antiques and Collectables Awards), one for the BEST ANTIQUES WEBSITE and the second for the BEST ANTIQUES SHOP IN WALES.

Visitors are welcome by prior arrangement, without obligation. Please telephone or e-mail.

Visit for more information on the business and to view a wider range of stock.

Please note: all our items are genuine antiques and we take care to describe date range and any restoration we see. A full condition report is available on request for any item you are interested in, but do bear in mind that part of the charm of these pieces is that they have been used and show the wear and tear, ongoing 'running repairs' and surface finish and patina that can only be found on genuine pieces. We do not 're-finish' or unnecessarily 'restore' them, therefore the item that you buy will have its own idiosyncratic features and will often be unique.

The following policy applies to all items sold by distance (i.e. not 'seen'). If you wish to cancel your order, please inform us in writing (e.g. by email) within 7 working days after receipt of the item/s. All items must be returned at your own expense and using a reputable courier. You are required to take reasonable care of the goods whilst in your possession and to take all care that the goods are returned to us safely. In the event that you fail to return the cancelled order, you must make the goods available for collection and you will be charged the carrier's fee for this. You will receive a refund of the monies paid to us.

This right to cancel does not affect your statutory rights.

[Please note: the consumer's Distance Selling Right to Cancel does not extend to business-to-business sales]
